Who loves duckies? Apparently J does for one! As for me... well, I have to say the ducky on J's new shirts from Rainy Day Organics are adorable.

When J saw the Rainy Day Reader duck on the shirts he got so excited and now, he wants to wear them every time they come out of the wash! The shirts end up in the wash a lot since it's summer and J's ostomy bag has been coming off a lot lately with sweating. One thing I noticed, was that after each wash the shirts seemed to get softer and I never had to wash the shirts more than once to get food and other stains out. Even with all the washings, the design still looks brand new as do the shirts! We will definitely be taking his Rainy Day Organics shirts with us when J has his surgery this coming Wednesday.

Why I love Mothering Grace....

Today has been a rather stressful day... I've spent most of the day looking for diaper retailers that had diapers in J's size and in the right colors and that would ship quickly to arrive by this Friday. Do you know how hard it is to find Happy Heiny's in large and extra large? Seriously!

Then, we remembered Mothering Grace and how they had shipped quickly the time we ordered (and won a diaper) from them. Sara was really helpful and went out of her way to help us get the best thing for J. So I sent a quick email asking if there was any way that we could order and get it by Friday. She responded very quickly and we made our order tonight.

Now I can relax and not worry about not having enough diapers... Thank you Mothering Grace!

Surgery??? in less than 2 weeks???

I know posts about giveaways have been lacking recently! But.... yesterday, we took J for his doctor appointments and we got a date with surgery! J has an ileostomy that was placed during chemotherapy over 3 years ago and now that he is done with treatment, we can finally get it reversed.

So, June 1st, J will be admitted to the hospital for tests to make sure everything's clear and then, he'll have surgery on the 2nd. I think this is way faster than I really was thinking!

For the next 2 weeks, there won't be many giveaways posted here, since we have tons of stuff to do to get ready.... oh, we're also going to using cloth diapers during his hospital stay. So any ideas of things we might need to get would be greatly appreciated... or any tips, too!

We'd also love for y'all to pray that the surgery will be successful as there is always a chance (especially with J's GI history) that it won't work.
