I received these two awards from Alesha over at The Jacobsen Family. Thanks Alesha! I enjoy chatting with her on twitter and reading her blog... if you haven't read her blog, you should... It's very well organized. (yes, I love blogs that are organized and neat, which Alesha's is definitely!)

I'm late with posting this, but we finally got a keyboard for one of the computers late last night and I can use the internet without having to go to the library!

Let's see... seven things about me...

1. I am the proud sister of a little boy who has Down syndrome and just finished chemotherapy for leukemia.

2. This is actually a two-person blog! My mom and I enter giveaways. If you and I are chatting on twitter, you're probably talking to me. Usually Momma and I will sit with the laptop (or use to... before the computer crashed and the power cords died) and take turns tweeting.

3. I live with my family on our homestead in Georgia. I have five siblings, three sisters and two brothers. We have chickens, pigs, and turkeys on our farm. Besides the six cats and three dogs, of course :*) and we homeschool!

4. I love reading books - lots of books! History books, fiction, non-fiction... and I love watching movies, especially Murder She Wrote and Charlie Chan films... We also watch a lot of old world war II movies and then we get books about the movie we just watched from the library!

5. I enjoy cooking. (though I didn't say I enjoyed cleaning up :*)) We have a few people in my family who have different foods they can't eat. So, I'm learning to adapt our family favorites into food everyone can eat.

6. On Monday mornings, there is always a big pile of laundry, in the rooms, waiting to go to the laundry room. I may or may not forget to bring it in till late in the afternoon.

7. I don't like vacations! Primarily because we always get sick during them. The only 'vacation' I remember that we didn't get sick, was when we went to a camp for families of children with cancer.
